Claude I. Taylor’s career at Air Canada spanned more than 43 years. The Salisbury native started in 1949 as a ticket agent at the Moncton Airport and by 1976 had worked his way up to president and chief executive officer of the government owned company. In 1984, Mr. Taylor was named chairman of the board. He retired in 1992, retaining the honorary title of chairman emeritus of Air Canada.
