Philip Oland started in his father’s brewery in 1932 and worked his way up to President and Chief Executive Officer of Moosehead Breweries in 1961. In 1982, he became CEO and Chairman of the company, a position he held until his death in November 1996. Philip Oland guided the family business during its most expansive period, launching Moosehead Beer in the United States, Great Britain and Australia.
